Well, if I say that your visit to Delhi is incomplete if you have not tasted the special delicacies at some of Delhi’s popular food joints, it is no exaggeration. Here is a list of some extremely well-known eating joints where you can gorge on food and leave with a satisfied appetite. You are going to simply love your stay in the ‘Food capital of India’:
Breakfast– The list of places where you can enjoy a hearty breakfast is long but there are a few joints, which are very popular. Savor stuffed paranthas that is, stuffed Indian bread at Paranthewali gali in Chandni Chowk. These paranthas are stuffed with around 150+ stuffings including alloo, gobhi, banana, chilli, meva, karela etc. Sitaram Diwan Chand and Chache di Hatti emerge winners in serving sumptuous Chole-Bhature, the best in the world. Another great option is Kachori-Sabzi at Dinesh Kachoriwala on Nai Sarak.
Lunch– The options for enjoying a sumptuous lunch are numerous, some of which I have listed in this post. If you love rolls then Khan Chacha’s rolls at Khan Market and Connaught Place serves more than 20 varieties of rolls, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. You can chose from Paneer tikka, Aloo tikka roll, Chicken tikka roomali roll, Haryali kabab, Fish tikka roomali roll etc and more. You can savor dishes like Dal Makhani, Butter Chicken, Panner Butter Masala and more. However, if Rajma-Chawal and Kadi-Chawal is your favorite there is a shop in a lane opposite PVR Rivoli in the A-block of Connaught Place, near Shivaji Stadium.
Dinner– The options of eating joints at dinner time is unarguably the best and the taste of every dish is unmatched for. If you want to dine out with your family at night then Punjabi by Nature, Vasant Vihar, Rajouri Garden and other places around Delhi, can be a good option where you can relish dishes of Continental, Chinese, Mughlai, South Indian cuisine along with your favorite glass of beverage, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. You can get the best fish items at Ganesh Macchi Wala and best butter chicken at Sandoz, sprinkled at various places in Karol Bagh. Sandoz along with eating space also has special take away outlets too. If a sizzler is what you love then you should not miss out on Gola Sizzlers, which is present all around Delhi such as Connaught Place, Dwarka, Gurgaon, Punjabi Bagh, Pitam Pure, Rajouri Garden, Defence Colony and so on.
