Having a feel of an old bazaar that has street-side stalls, shopping here can be a nice experience. Once you get tired after shopping and want to have some sumptuous food, there are food stalls as well offering delicacies of several Indian cuisines along with serving Chat-papri.

Good bargaining skills can take you far even if you have the problem of a tight budget. If you take a stroll around, you can also find some amazing food options as well like De Paul’s. Go a little further and you can find some more food options in the inner circle.

1. Akshardham Temple: Because of its amazing architectural magnificence, this temple can rightly be called an architectural wonder of Delhi. Spread over an area of 30 acres, this temple complex is just the right place to absorb the rich culture and spirituality of India. A visit to this temple will take around half-a-day. Enjoy picnic in the lush manicured lawns. There is a canteen too which serves lip-smacking food at amazingly low prices.

2. Birla Mandir: Also known as Laxminarayan temple, Birla Mandir is a beautiful templs that is located in Central Delhi, near Gole Market. Dedicated to Shri Lakshmi Narayan, this place also has a historical importance as this is the site where Mahatma Gandhi was shot dead. You can also attend morning or evening Aarti, surely a great experience.

The Mandi House area has several theatres including that of the renowned National School of Drama where artists from all around the world perform. If you want to eat something, Bengali Market is a few minutes away.
